Community Engagement

Learning from leading global examples of just transition.

Governments around the world are proactively managing a phase out of oil, gas, or coal
production to benefit workers and communities and to stabilize the economy. These posters provide policy insights of relevance to Newfoundland and Labrador from six cases: Denmark, the UK, Germany, Colombia, Québec, and Scotland. They were developed on the basis of case analysis conducted by Memorial University students in March 2026 as part of the "Equitable Energy Transitions" seminar taught by Angela Carter.
